Obituary of Danny Lee Lollar

Danny Lee Lollar was born in War, West Virginia on October 17, 1947 to Noble Lollar and Norma Jenkins. Danny completed three years of high school in Caruthersville, Missouri before joining the United States Army. On November 16, 1967, Danny reported to Fort Campbell, Kentucky for Basic Training and later completed training to become a Carpenter and Power Generator Equipment Mechanic. In April of 1968, Danny was given orders to report to Vietnam. After completing a 12 month tour in Vietnam, he was stationed at Fort George G. Meade, where he was honorably discharged on April 18, 1975. Danny achieved the rank of Specialist 5 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, two Good Conduct Medals, and The Vietnam Campaign Medal. After his military service, Danny continued to service his country as a federal employee at the Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratory, where he has been for the past 35 years. Danny is survived by one sister, Connie Lollar of Peoria, IL; two sons, Marcus Lollar of Baltimore, MD and Noble Greene of Columbus, OH; three daughters, Dana Lollar of Washington, DC, Tiffany and Daniella Greene, both of Columbus, OH; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on 17 August 2010 at 10:00 am at Argonne Hills Chapel Center, 7100 Rockenbach Ave, Fort Meade, MD 20755. Online tributes may be made at www.rappfuneral.com
