Obituary of Terry Ferrell

Terry W. Ferrell, 60, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer at his sister's home with family around him. Born July 17, 1950, he was the husband and best friend of Dottie Ferrell. He was the son of Bill (Joyce) Ferrell and the late Bernice Ferrell. He is also survived by his sister, Yolanda Grimes of Gaithersburg; and a brother, Mike (Theresa) Ferrell of West Virginia. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, Lisa Howard of Gaithersburg, Tisa (Jimmy) Soles of Mount Airy, Stephanie (Reese) Johnson of West Virginia, and Amber (David) Dunn of Gaithersburg. Also, nephews Robert (Danica) Ferrell of Baltimore and Steven (Tasha) of West Virginia. He is also survived by a great-niece, Kayla Soles and Jordyn, and soon to be great-niece of Stephanie and Reese, and also his great-nephews, Derek Soles and Trevor Ferrell, and soon to be great-nephew of Robert and Danica. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Ferrell; two brothers, Bobby and Tommy Ferrell; and son, Roy Hill. Our thanks to Montgomery Hospice and special thanks to Drew Lermond for his kindness to Terry and his family. There will be a memorial at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Gaithersburg Eagles. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated to help with funeral expenses.
