Obituary of Juana Garcia Solano

Juana Garcia Solano (March 08, 1956 - February 19, 2018) Place of birth: Bajos de Haina, San Cristobal, Dominican Republic Juana Garcia Solano was called home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2018 at the age of 61. Juana was a caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved life. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Juana is survived by her husband, Agustin Cruz, three children; Adriana Cruz Garcia, Carlos Manuel Castro, Lissette Cruz Solano, and 5 grandchildren. Juana spent the majority of her life caring for others, retiring as a nurse after 29 years of service at multiple municipalities in the Dominican Republic, including a children's hospital. After migrating to the United States, Juana had the dream to continue expanding on her passion for healthcare, for which she attend classed, and received a certification of caregiver. Unfortunately, Juana lost her fight against cancer before she was able to expand on this new journey. Juana will be forever remembered by her loved one as a strong woman and goal-oriented, who followed her dreams. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Advent Funeral, 9013 Annapolis Rd Lanham 20706, with the burial to be held at the Heritage Memorial Cemetery located at 13472 Poplar Hill Road Waldorf, MD 20601at 1:15 p.m. the same afternoon.
