Obituary of Catarina Conceicao Pires

Catarina Conseicao Pires was born on February 13th, 1968 in Goa, India to Luiza Maria Jacques and the late Inacio D'Cunha. After courageously fighting her long battle with cancer, on January 17th, 2019, she was called by God to receive her wings and enter the gates of Heaven. She left this world with a smile, and her beautiful smile is one of the many things we will continue to remember her by. Catarina was an amazing chef and always made sure that you never left her house with an empty stomach. She was a wonderful mother who continuously made her children and grandchild a priority and found great joy in spending time with them. Catarina is survived by her husband, Antonio Pires, her children, Calvein Fernandes, Nasline and Asish Martins, Jason Pires, Jacinta and William Campbell, grandchild Amirah Campbell. She also leaves behinds two brothers, five sisters, their spouses, nieces and nephews, and many friends and family. Catarina will be greatly missed but the spirit and the memories of her will always live with us. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Church in Rockville, Maryland beginning with viewing from 10.00am to 11.00am followed by funeral mass at 11.30am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring (Aspen Hill), Maryland following the mass
