I am sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was a great guy and good friend of mine at Catholic U.
My brother Mike also got to know Tom and this is his remembrance - Thanks, Joe, or Gene as Tommy would have said, for passing this on to us! I was fortunate enough to get know Tommy Nolan my freshman year at CUA and a few times after that. He was a great guy and always had encouraging things to say and quite a funny guy also!
Not to mention I was a teammate of Tom on the track team...

Dear Helen,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Toms passing. Tom was so influential in my learning and subsequent ability to make our business what it is.
He was such a consummate professional, a most gifted and generous teacher and a true gentleman.
My thoughts and those of my colleagues at PMI in the UK are with you.
Kindest regards,
Jane Seddon

I study from Texts that Thomas Nolan has co-authored and the books have changed my life in my ability to shift culture within my healthcare system in British Columbia, Canada. I've never met Mr Nolan, but my mentors speak very highly of him. I feel the lack of him while at the same time, enjoy the fruits of his life's labours to help people improve systems that improve the experience of living on our planet. Thank you Mr. Nolan. Thanks for all you gave.

Dear Helen and Family,
We're so sorry to hear about the loss of Tom to you and your family.
I'll remember Tom as a wise, thoughtful, and kind leader in the improvement community. His legacy is far-reaching. And it was wonderful to be able to gather with you and Tom at our annual Global Quality Future Workshops!
I have a very distinct first memory of Tom from 1988, when he and Mike Tveite served as assistants to Dr. Deming at his 4 day event in Philadelphia. As...

My years working with Tom and learning from him have had a tremendous impact on me. His approach to systems and improvement have shaped mine and continue to shape those around me. Echoes of Tom reverberate every time I ask the question, "What are we trying to accomplish?" His legacy includes the hundreds of improvers who approach life and leadership differently because of what he taught us. I am deeply grateful.
