Obituary of Christine Dennis LeFlore

Christine Dennis LeFlore passed away suddenly at her home in Silver Spring, MD on December 16, 2019. Born March 31, 1945, in Stuart, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Orcenia Dennis. Growing up in a military family, she was proud to call herself an "Army brat." After graduating from high school in Munich, Germany, she moved with her family to Washington, DC in 1963, arriving on the same day as the March on Washington. She was a proud graduate of Howard University undergraduate and law school, and received her LLM from Yale University Law School. Her career as an attorney spanned 50 years, working for the DC government, DC City Council and in private practice. In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert and Thaddeus Dennis, and her niece Nicole Dennis. She is survived by her daughter, Danielle LeFlore of Upper Marlboro, MD, her nephew, Anthony Dennis (Jeanne) of Crofton, MD, and sister in-law Vivian Dennis of Bowie, MD. She is also survived by her BFF's Patricia and Howard Taylor, Carla and Ray Pla, Sharon Banks, Irene Chikaka, and Sara Rearden, as well as extended family and friends. Services to be announced at a later date in 2020.
