Obituary of Florence Brown
Florence Brown of Silver Spring, Maryland departed this life
peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday January
17, 2020 one month shy of her 102nd birthday. Beloved wife of
William Brown (predeceased); devoted mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother; sister and aunt. Florence was one of the last
surviving naval nurses to serve in World War II.
Funeral services
will be held Saturday, February 8, 10 a.m. at Foundry United
Methodist Church, 1500 16th Street NW Washington DC.
