Obituary of Rose Iannaco
Rose Iannaco, 80, of Silver Spring, MD formerly of Lake George, NY, passed
away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Medstar Montgomery General Hospital.
Born on April 23, 1934 in Benevento, Italy, she was the daughter of the late
Attilio and Annunziata (Ricciardi) Zollo and Josephine Zollo (stepmother).
She married Vincent "Jim" Iannaco on October 20, 1956.
Rose was employed by the Lake George School District for 18 years as a
Teacher's Aide, where she touched many lives. She was like a second mom to
many of her students. Her passion was her family; cooking for them and their
friends. She always had a vacuum or carpet sweeper in her hand. She enjoyed
traveling and took two cross country trips with her husband. Her most precious
joy was spending time with her family and her 4 grandsons.
She is survived by her daughters Nancy McKee and Dawn Iannaco-Hahn and
her husband David, of Silver Spring, MD and her son Robert Iannaco and his wife
Edna of Swanton, VT; four grandsons, Justin McKee of Washington, DC, Vincent
Iannaco of Swanton, VT and Tanner and Brennan Hahn of Silver Spring, MD. She
is also survived by one sister, Lisa Nigro of Queensbury, NY, her sisters-in-
law/brother-in-law, Mary and Louis Tessier of Lake George, NY and Georgie
Iannaco of Howard Beach, NY. She is also survived by her many nieces and
nephews and their children.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association or the National Stroke
Association.
A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2015 at 1:30 at St. Peters,
Olney, MD.
