Obituary of Marion Elizabeth Carlson

Marion Elizabeth Carlson died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the age of 77 in Kensington, MD. She was the beloved wife of Ernest Carlson, the devoted mother of Geoffrey Carlson (Norfolk, VA), Michael Carlson (Rockville, MD), and Sara Teich (Granville, OH). She was the devoted grandmother of Calvin and Madelyn Teich and Samantha, Brandon, and Ashley Carlson; and the devoted mother-in-law to Kimbel David, Barbara (Kalaski) Carlson, and Ken Teich. She had suffered with alzheimers for more than seven years. Marion was born in Boston, MA studied nursing at Simons College, Boston and at Boston, University. Her life was devoted to service. She worked as a public health nurse for the Boston Visiting Nurse Association, Adventist Home Health, Montgomery Hospice, and the National Childrens' Center. She was an active volunteer at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church, and gave childbirth classes at Lamaze International. She also volunteered with the Red Cross. A celebration of her life will be held at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church on Saturday, February 27 at 2:30PM.
