Obituary of Stephanie Elice Porche

Stephanie Elice Porché, 49, passed quietly at her home on June 1, 2016. Stephanie loved being a mother, and was devoted to her daughter, Taylor. She was a loyal and protective "big sister" to Denise and Yvette, and she was a loving and thoughtful daughter. She was also a friend and confidant to many others. Stephanie loved planning parties and events, and was gifted with a sense of style and panache. She was elegant, stylish---often establishing the style---and tended to march to her own drumbeat. Stephanie was a creative spirit and had a knack for finding unique ways to express herself. Stephanie was petite, but had a personality that made her seem much larger. She was funny, feisty, and often unconventional. Stephanie was incredibly resilient and possessed an inner-strength that often left those around her in awe. She was a very spiritual person and explored both Christianity and Eastern religious traditions. She was able to call upon a deep reserve of spiritual fortitude when things seemed to be darkest. Stephanie will be remembered for her love, her vivacious personality, her wise counsel, her generous spirit, her fierce loyalty, her resilience, and most of all, her strength and determination to make the best of any situation. Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Taylor Porché-Meyers, her parents, her stepparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
