Obituary of Martin H. Myers

Martin H. Myers, age 90, departed this life on October 18th, 2017 quietly and peacefully at The Village at Rockville Nursing Facility in Rockville MD. He was born in Howard County, Md. and was one of five children born to the late Hamilton Myers and Daisy Myers. Martin was employed at Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in Laurel, Md., as a Public Utility Worker for forty-eight years until his retirement. Martin was a hard working, proud and strong man. Left to cherish his loving memory are: Children: Martin (Minnie), Vera, Terry, David, Eddie (Cindy) Sylvia, Debra; loving sister, Faith Stanton of Mt. Airy, MD, Sister-in-Law, Doris Myers, Niece: Vergi, a host of grandkids and great-grandkids. Martin was preceded in death by: his wife Alice Myers; two sons Reverend Albert Richard Diggs; Vincent Myers; two daughters Delores Ann Gray; Gladys Virginia Edwards; His brothers: Harvey, Herman and Dick. A memorial will be held in his honor on this Friday, October 27, 2017 from 2pm- 4pm at Advent Funeral & Cremation at 9013 Annapolis Rd Lanham, MD 20706.
