I feel blessed to have known such a warm and kind person. I have fond memories of family gathering with her wonderful cooking. I always said she could have made a million dollars if she sold her apple pies. We were fortunate that she was able to come to our wedding in 2001. She was a true role model.
God Bless,

Mahlon was a first cousin to my mother and father form his father's brother to my mother and his mother's sister to my father's mother. I saw them rarely when I was growing up but I went to nursing school at Columbia University so my brother, David, and I visited Mahlon and Alice in Larchmont.

Alice and Mahlon were like second parents to me and Noemi viewed as very loving grandparents by our 2 sons, Stefan and Thomas. We were married in their home and have many fond memories of 50 Clover and of their home in Ft Myers, and of her trip to visit us in Hong Kong in 1993 and of her 100th birthday party in DC.

We miss Grandma (& GG) so much already, but are in awe as we reflect on the incredible life she lived. I feel so fortunate to have known her throughout both my childhood and adulthood. I have so many great memories of visiting Grandmother & Grandfather in Fort Myers -- picking grapefruits from the tree in the backyard, going to the Edison home, and savoring one (or ten) of her famous rolls! As an adult, I enjoyed listening to her stories of meeting Grandfather, life in Kansas City,...

When we think of mother, we realize again and again how much love she gave to others over the course of her life. We are so lucky to have had her and we will miss her deeply but she will be us always in spirit.
